Spinal Manipulation is defined at the therapeutic application of manually guided forces to improve the physiologic function to a particular joint/region that has been altered by an injury.

Electric Muscle Stimulation involves the use of electrical therapy applied directly to the muscle in order to decrease muscle spasms.

Therapeutic Exercises are prescribed for stretching and/or strengthening of the injured areas at home.

Most are “low-tech” meaning that there is no equipment needed!  They are usually done several times a day, for only a few minutes! It is ALWAYS recommended that these exercises be continued even after your problem or injury has been corrected.

Massage Therapy is the manipulating of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissues using various techniques to enhance function, aid in the healing process, decrease muscle reflex activity, inhibit motor-neuron excitability, and promote relaxation and well-being.

Extremity Manipulation involves applying manual procedures to the extremity joints to improve function and reduce pain.

Dry-Hydrotherapy assists in the reduction of stress, relieves muscle soreness, draining of the lymphatic system, and reducing pain from injured muscles.

Re-examinations are typically performed every 10 to 12 visits to evaluate the patient’s current symptomatic and physical status by examination of the areas of complaint.

Portable EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation) units are portable devises utilized for not only the reduction of muscle spasm but they can also help to block the transmission of pain signals to the brain and by stimulating the body’s release of endorphins.

Therapeutic Activities include training in the proper mechanics of lifting, bending, and other specific activities of daily living.

Biofreeze ® is available for sale and is a topically applied analgesic gel that is used to block pain transmitting neurons utilizing menthol as a counter-irritant effect. It is like other topical pain relieving creams and gels; we think it is the best available!

Trigger Point Therapy/Ischemic Compression is utilized to deliberately increase the blockage of blood to an area so that upon release there will be a resurgence of blood to wash away waste products, supply oxygen and help the affected tissue to heal; typically used with trigger point therapy.

Initial Evaluation is necessary to determine the patient’s current symptomatic and physical status by subjective and objective means to determine the necessity and type of care to address the areas of complaint. It is always important to evaluate the patient BEFORE any care is recommended or rendered!
